何年か前に、韓国で「WonderfulDays」というアニメ映画が公開されて
韓国が、国の威信をかけて制作したとかいう話で
9年の歳月と日本円にして15億円の巨費を投じたとか
「この映画が、日本をアニメ宗主国の座から引きずり下ろす」とかいう
前評判だったのだが、コレがとんでもない駄作で、ソウルの映画館は
1週間で公開を打ち切った
当時、
韓国の中学生が自分のサイトに書いていた文章を今でも覚えている
「WonderfulDays」という映画は確かに失敗作だった。だけど
これが失敗のまま終わってアニメに大金をかけても無駄、という
事になってしまっては韓国アニメに未来は無い。
これではいつまでたっても日本アニメを越えられない。
今までずっと、日本アニメの海賊版ビデオを買っていたけれど
生まれて初めて正規品のビデオを買おうと決意した。
休日、いつも海賊版を買っている竜山電気街に行った。
どこの店にも「WonderfulDays」の海賊版しかないので
店員に「正規品を下さい」といったら驚かれた。
「どうして？海賊版のほうが安いのに。ウチにはないよ」
その日１日、竜山電気街を探し歩いたけれど、結局
「WonderfulDays」の正規品を見つける事はできなかった。
僕は泣いた。日本のアニメが面白いのは、面白いアニメに
それに値する料金を支払う人たちが大勢いるからなのだ。
これでは韓国アニメが日本アニメを越えられるわけがない。
僕は決意した。二度と海賊版は買わないと。
